Sweet Surprises

Who doesn’t like sweet surprises? Especially on a blue morning, a little good cheer can go a long way. This is what some sympathetic souls at North Providence had in mind as they initiated the first waves of #RandomActsofKindness.

What does this new happy hashtag movement do you may ask? Well, basically, the entity has sensed the stress that is so eminent around our faculty, and has made it its mission to alleviate the tense atmosphere. Teachers have come to the faculty rooms and found delicious snacks. These dessert foods are usually accompanied by a note with hashtag memos such as “#RandomActsofKindness” or “#RandomSnacks”.

“These acts are waves of a new movement in the works,” says Mr. Ryan, our only known informant behind the mysterious occurrences. “The first wave happened over a three week period and by the second week, it was impossible to determine the source or the gifts. People just showed up and there was something on the table with a note. It added a spark of positivity to a day usually full of tasks and stress.”

When asked about why or who the movement was for, Mr. Ryan replied, “The moment has been for the public, not for a specific person. Hopefully, when the teachers get the snacks, they get put into a good mood and the good vibrations will trickle to the students. When there is a happy faculty, there is usually a happy student body.”

“Look towards Spirit Week for more activity,” stated Mr. Ryan in response to an inquiry about what people could expect in the future, “The NECAPs have brought everything to a lull, but things should pick up again in the next few weeks.” So, everyone, do not forget to keep your eyes and ears open for news about #RandomActsofKindness and spread the good vibrations.
