Who said that beauty pageants are only for girls?
Last night a group of iconic cougars stole the show at Mr.Cougar. Escorted down the high school auditorium stage by girls dressed in beautiful gowns from David’s Bridal, the boys got to show off their formal wear, participate in an interview, and get rated on their talents.
From Jordan Zanni catching blueberries in his mouth, Antonio Sanders doing pushups while reciting an original poem to Danilo Nunez making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Dylan Pederson playing lacrosse, the cougar boys proved to be very talented.
Make sure you congratulate the winner of Mr.Cougar, Mohamed Diaby who was dressed in pink and black and escorted by Olivia Capraro in a black and pink ballgown. Mohamed stole the show when he put his own touch on the song The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Haley Bourne sang along while he and Jessica Martineau played the some percussion.
Aside from the talent portion of the show, all of the boys did a great job with their interviews, answering questions like, “What color nail polish best describes your personality?”
Everyone looked elegant at the Mr.Cougar pageant, where the boys had a chance to boost their egos and show us what they’ve got.
If you missed the show you missed Assistant Principal, Mr. Talbot get pies thrown in his face, Mr.Ryan singing and playing guitar to “Such Great Heights” by The Postal Service, and the fantastic Antonio Barbosa doing the same while performing “Wonderwall” By Oasis.
Mr.Barbosa did a great job and earned second place. Congratulations to all the participants and staff for making this night as successful as it could be!
