Hocus Pocus is a fantasy horror movie with comedic elements that was released in theaters in 1993. The film is about two teens named Max and Allison and Max’s younger sister, Dani, who accidentally resurrect three witches while exploring an abandoned house. When Hocus Pocus was first released back in the early 1990s, it was not popular in theaters. However, over the years, the film gained more and more attention and gained significant popularity, and is now considered one of the best Halloween movies of all time. The popularity of the movie over the last couple of decades has made viewers want a sequel to the film. After years of waiting, a second movie was finally announced earlier this year and is set to be released in Fall of 2022. According to multiple media outlets, production for the film has already begun. Pictures of the location and set have been released onto the internet, and some of the areas being used for filming look a bit familiar. The film is being filmed right here in locations in Providence and Lincoln, right in our very own Rhode Island. It may come as a shock, but many films have been filmed or partially filmed in Rhode Island. Including 27 Dresses, Dumb & Dumber, and some parts of the Purge: Election Year. Hocus Pocus 2 is currently being added to this list being filmed at Chase Farm Park in Lincoln.
