Another book franchise is reaching the big screen on October 22, 2021. It will feature numerous A and B list celebrities, including Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, Jason Momoa, and Stellan Skarsgård. Many fans in the Sci-fi world have highly anticipated the live adaptation of Dune.  

Initially a book series, Dune is set in the distant future where an interstellar society of ruling houses govern different planets. When the family of young Paul Atreides’, played by Timothée Chalamet, is tasked with leading the planet of Arrakis, many factors begin to determine if it is genuinely worth inhabiting. From quarrels with the natives to an evil army looking to steal a valuable natural resource found only on Arrakis, Paul is forced to assume a leadership position to protect his people and family when special abilities begin to present themselves in him. 

It is fair to predict that Dune will be an exciting story with relationships and dynamic characters we have yet to see in the Sci-fi movie world. With six large chapter books worth of material, it is safe to say that Warner Bros. Pictures could easily establish a possible franchise. One that is not short of plot twists, nail-biting situations, and parallels.
