Over the summer, Taylor Swift’s, The Eras Tour, was all anyone could talk about. Taylor Swift fans around the world stayed up late to watch livestreams and see what surprise song she was singing that night. Because of how successful the Eras Tour was, Taylor Swift announced that a film version of the tour will be in theaters starting October 13. In Swift’s announcement, she stated, “Era’s attire, friendship bracelets, singing, and dancing encourage.” Fans took this as a literal statement and are already planning on singing and screaming when they attend the film. Others believe that people can sing, but they shouldn’t be screaming and getting up to dance.
After the announcement was out, people went straight to social media to express their opinions. Fans of Taylor Swift who went to the Eras Tour are planning one wearing special outfits, trading bracelets, and having the time of their lives. Fans who didn’t get the chance to see the Eras Tour this year are also planning on doing the same thing. But, casual viewers who just want to sit back and watch the movie, don’t agree with this. They believe that people can sing, but they have to remember they are in a movie theater. Because of this, they shouldn’t be too loud and shouldn’t be getting up to dance.
In my personal opinion, I think people should definitely dress up and trade bracelets just like they did for the Eras Tour. Dressing up for this is almost like how people dressed up for Barbie or The Minions: Rise of Gru. But, I do think people should remember they are at a movie theater and there might be other people trying to enjoy the show. People must also remember that there are other movies that are playing in other theaters, so people watching the Eras Tour film can’t be too loud.
What do you think about this? Should people act like they’re actually at a concert or should they just sit back and enjoy the show?
