As I sit down to write this farewell message to the Class of 2026, it is hard to believe how quickly the past four years have gone by. It feels like just yesterday I was meeting many of you for the first time at freshmen orientation, excited for the journey ahead. Now, somehow, we are celebrating your graduation.
Serving as your class adviser has truly been one of the most rewarding parts of my job. What makes this class even more special is that you are the very first class I have had the privilege of advising for all four years of high school. Because of that, The Class of 2026 will always hold a very special place in my heart.
As someone who graduated from this high school exactly 25 years ago, it has been incredibly meaningful to help guide students through many of the same traditions and milestones that I once experienced myself. From Spirit Week and Homecoming to Winter Ball and Senior Prom to Senior Night and Graduation, I have loved every moment of helping create memories that I hope you will carry with you for years to come.
Along the way, I have had the privilege of getting to know so many of you- your personalities, your talents, your humor and your resilience. Of course, being a class adviser comes plenty of behind-the-scenes work: hounding for dues, chasing down signed forms, answering countless emails, creating centerpieces, and organizing event after event, but every bit of it has been worth it because of the relationships built and the memories made together.
I am especially grateful for my incredible class officers, whose dedication, leadership and hard work have helped make these past four years so special.
To the entire Class of 2026: thank you for allowing me to be part of your high school journey. I am so proud of everything you have accomplished, and I know each of you has a bright future ahead. I will miss you all and wish you nothing but happiness and success in what path you choose.
Congratulations!
