Here we are at the finish line. We did it. From all the energy drinks we chugged, all-nighters we pulled, and every homework and test we stressed about, it all worked out in the end. During the past 4 years, our younger selves always said at least once, “I can’t wait to graduate.” However, now that it’s finally here, we find ourselves feeling nostalgic and reminiscing about the good old days. Time is a thief. We didn’t realize how much we were going to miss the typical old classes, lunches, familiar faces in the hallway, etc. Whether you’re going to college, the military, trade school, or even a gap year, enjoy and be present in every moment. Time will fly by, so pause for a moment and take a look around you. Take in the faces you see and the laughter you hear.
In addition, I want you to remember the people who were there for you, making it possible for you to cross the stage. Thank your parents, teachers, family, etc. Lastly, remember that everything will work out in the end, even if it’s not clear in the moment.”
Good luck in the future!
