The semifinals saw the couples doing two routines each to hits from Prince. For the first dance, couples did a routine with a new style they haven’t yet performed, and the second dance was a style that they had done previously.
Elaine Hendrix: For their first dance, Elaine and Alan Bersten performed a foxtrot to “I Wanna be Your Lover”, and scored 27/30 from the judges. Their second dance was a paso doble that earned them a perfect 30/30 score, set to “When Doves Cry”. Their total score from both rounds was a 57/60.
Alix Earle: Alix and Val Chmerkovskiy earned a 28/30 for their first dance, an Argentine Tango set to “Little Red Corvette”, and a perfect score of 30/30 for a Viennese waltz to “Purple Rain” as their second dance. They earned a 58/60 as a score for both rounds.
Whitney Leavitt: Whitney and Mark Ballas performed a cha cha to “1999”, earning them near perfect score of 29/30. Their second dance was a Viennese waltz to “Slow Love”, which earned them another near perfect 29/30 score. Their total from both rounds was a 58/60.
Dylan Efron: Dylan and Daniella Karagach performed a tango to “I Would Die 4 U” as their first dance, earning them a 27/30. Their second dance, a cha cha to “1999”, earned them a 28/30, which gave them a total of 55/60 for both rounds.
Jordan Chiles: Jordan and Ezra Sosa earned a 27/30 for their first dance, which was a jive to “Raspberry Beret”. Their second dance was an Argentine Tango to “U Got the Look”, which earned them a perfect 30/30 score. Their total from both rounds was a 57/60.
Robert Irwin: Robert and Witney Carson earned a perfect score of 30/30 for their first dance, a jive to “Baby I’m a Star”. Their second dance was a Viennese waltz to “WOW”, which scored a near perfect 29/30. Their total score from both rounds was a 59/60.
There was a surprising elimination, with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt and her partner Mark Ballas receiving the lowest score after judges scores and viewers’ votes were combined.
The Season 34 finale of Dancing With The Stars is on Tuesday, November 25 at 8pm on ABC and Disney+, where the winner of the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy will be determined.
