On November 19, the Lady Cougars tennis team attended their last event: The annual RIIL tennis banquet.
There, 4 Lady Cougars were awarded, taking home medals, plaques, and pride. Namely, seniors Mendy Chen and Alisha Zhuang won 1st Team All Division Doubles, sophomore Arianna Picard won 2nd Team All Division Singles, and Isabella Wu took home the team’s Sportsmanship Award.
To cheer them on, a whole three tables of family and friends came to support the girls. Coach Jerry, likewise, could not be prouder of the players, the majority of the girls present taking home awards these past two banquets.
At last, after the season concluded, the team enjoyed a comfortable evening, relishing in the end of the tennis season and for many, their last season.
May the girls’ futures be even brighter than the time spent as Lady Cougars, and may the next NP girls’ tennis generation soar even higher.
