Myrtle Beach: Located in the Horry County of South Carolina, Myrtle Beach is home to many different tourist attractions. In total, there are 86 golf courses, and 1,800 restaurants. It is also home to many miles of beaches, which are enjoyable because of South Carolina’s subtropical climate. Live shows at theaters are offered year round, and it is home to National Geographic’s third top boardwalk in the country, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, which opened in 2010.
Washington D.C.: The capital of the U.S. is home to many museums and monuments. Many of these are found on the National Mall. Some museums include some of the various Smithsonian museums, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument (just to name a few!)
San Diego: Found in the San Diego County of California, San Diego is home to the San Diego Zoo, many beaches and parks, and recently became a development center for biotechnology and healthcare. Along with the San Diego Zoo, there are also other attractions, such as SeaWorld San Diego and Belmont Park. Belmont Park is a historic amusement park on the shore of the Pacific Ocean.
Orlando: Orlando, in Orange County, Florida, is a very popular place for tourist to visit. Orlando is home to the Universal Studios theme park, the Orlando Museum of Art, Dr. Philips Center for Performing Arts, and just outside the city is the Walt Disney World parks.
Bar Harbor: Bar Harbor is a restart town in Hancock County in Maine, on Mount Desert Island, that is home to the majority of Acadia National Park, which includes the Cadillac Mountain, the highest point within 25mi/40km of eastern coastline of the U.S. Acadia National Park has many different hiking paths, and carriage roads, where visitors can mountain climb, bird watch, and go biking. It also offers very nice views of the ocean!
