Providence Performing Arts Center  (PPAC) is known throughout the state as “the place” to see musicals. It’s the theater in Rhode Island that the National Tours stop at. With the 2022/2023 season coming to a close with Six and Beetlejuice, the question of what shows will be coming to the theater arose. Earlier this month, the CEO and president of PPAC, J.L. Singleton, held a news conference to answer this question.

Kicking off the 2023/2024 season and launching its National Tour from PPAC is the hit musical Funny Girl. Also a part of PPAC’s Broadway Series are:

Mrs. Doubtfire October 17-22, 2023

Moulin Rouge! The Musical December 19-31, 2023

To Kill a Mockingbird February 6-11, 2024

Frozen March 7-17, 2024

Company April 23-28, 2024

In addition to a Broadway Series, PPAC also has an Encore Series of shows returning to the theater. This coming year’s Encore Series includes:

The Book of Mormon October 31 – November 5, 2023

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical November 28 – December 3, 2023

Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations January 23-28, 2024

Will you be going to see any shows there this year?
