Netflix’s biopic of Jeffrey Dahmer has sparked a massive controversy on the internet. Dahmer- Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer story is based on a true story about the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The show was released on September 21, 2022, and caused a media frenzy. Although the show gained popularity, it had also drawn criticism. Many have questioned the logic of revisiting the case of the serial killer who killed and dismembered 17 young men. Many of the families of the guys he killed disapproved of how the show was portrayed and said it shouldn’t have been a show.
Another thing that many people questioned was the facts. There were moments in the show that wasn’t true in real life. Glenda Cleveland, for example, was portrayed as Jeffrey’s skeptical neighbor in the show even though she wasn’t his neighbor in real life because she lived in a different building. Ryan Murphy’s decision to create a series about Jeffery Dahmer is still being debated, but most agree it will be one of the most controversial and talked-about shows in 2022.
