It is the time of year for the annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser! This is a good time to look through your wallets for coins to donate. All proceeds from this drive will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for blood cancer patients and their families. Through charities, they collect money for cancer research as well as post-treatment support. Our school has been a proud supporter of this organization for 15 years and has collected about $20,000 dollars through this fundraiser. This year, the school’s goal is to collect $1,000. The teachers in charge, Ms. Volpe and Ms. Ambrose believe that this is definitely achievable for even if each student brings a dollar, we can easily collect $1000.The class that has collected the most money will win an Olive Garden lunch! Don’t hesitate because even little contributions add up to a bigger change.
