Annual Pep Rally at NPHS!

Riley-Kate Pappas, Reporter

To conclude the always anticipated spirit week here at North Providence High School is the annual pep rally. The last day of spirit week was blue and gold day, so the gym was embellished in the spirit of cougar pride. All of the fall sports teams came together and are joined by the sophomore, junior, and senior classes while the freshman watch it from the comfort of their classroom. The pep rally began with Mrs. Gingras’ concert choir singing the national anthem, while the band provided underlying interludes of music.  The captains of each team introduced the rest of the players while everyone cheered them on. The dance team members were announced and following the introductions, they performed their new routine that they will use for football season. The cheerleaders also followed with introductions as well as a brand new routine. These half-time routines will hopefully bring more excitement to the Cougar football games this upcoming season. The crowd hyped up all of the teams and showed immense school spirit. Hopefully the energy will stick with the teams for the rest of this season and ones to come.

Hopefully everyone had a great spirit week and enjoyed the pep rally! See you at homecoming!
