Last Tuesday, February 5, 2019 President Donald Trump gave the state of the union address to the nation. During the speech, he addressed several topics such as immigration, health care, and trade and economics. He talked about unity between the two parties, and how they need to work together. He also talked about the success of his administration, and his plans for the future. Overall, in my opinion, the State of the Union Address was good.

When I talked to other students, they all seemed to generally have the same stance. Most students did not watch the speech, and those who did were mostly indifferent. One student I talked to said that most of the things President Trump said seemed too good to be true. The general consensus among students seems to be that they do not care about politics enough to watch his address.
