Richard Reviews: Instant Family

Richard Cardente, Editor

Instant Family is a comedy-drama directed by Sean Anders and stars Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, Isabela Moner among others.  It is 1hr and 58 minutes long and rated PG-13.  A couple decided to become foster parents to three children and realize the struggles of having children.  This film was just mediocre. Everyone in the film was fine and it was heartwarming, especially near the end of the film.  I just felt as if the film was generic.  There is nothing that really stands out from other comedy-dramas that I have seen.  Plus, the parents were some what unlikable in the beginning but luckily were better near the end.  Instant Family is a film that while generic, I would recommend to people who like these types of films.  You will get what you want.  I will give Instant Family two popcorn buckets.
