NPHS Band at the Providence Bruins Game

Last Friday, the North Providence High School Concert Band played at the Providence Bruins Game. The game was played at the Dunkin Donuts Center at 6:00 p.m. The Bruins faced off against the Charlotte Checkers and won 2-1. The Bruins gained the lead in the last period with only 4:33 left on the clock, bringing the score up from 1-1 to 2-1. Both teams had trouble scoring in the beginning, but ultimately the Bruins proved to be the better team.

During the game the NPHS Band played a selection of music. These songs included ones such as “Sweet Caroline”, “Handclap”, “Should I Stay or Should I Go”, and many others. The music was played during intermissions and pauses in the game. Even though the band was not at its full capacity, we still sounded great with the members we had. Overall, the game was an exciting and enjoyable experience and the band played wonderfully.
