Yesterday the 90th Annual Academy Awards were unveiled honoring the very best cinema had to offer in 2017.  The ceremony was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel who hosted last years Oscars as well.  It was The Shape of Water taking home four Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director for Guillermo Del Toro.  Other wins include Gary Oldman winning Best Leading Actor for Darkest Hour, Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell winning Best Leading actress and Best Supporting Actor for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Allison Janney winning Best Supporting Actress for I, Tonya.  Thankfully unlike last year, there were no mistakes in announcing the Best Picture winner.  Out of my predictions, only one of them was right.  I was routing for Dunkirk to win Best Picture and Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Leading Actor for Daniel Kaluuya for Get out, Saoirse Ronan for Best Leading Actress in Lady Bird and Willem Dafoe for The Florida Project.
