Valentine’s Day

Signs of affection, the very essence of Valentine’s Day.

As history tells, Valentine’s Day is dedicated to the execution of Saint Valentine, a bishop who blessed those deeply in love. However, one of his blessings was not seen kindly by the Church as it brought together a person of Christian faith and another of Pagan faith. However, instead of focusing on the execution, Valentine’s Day is a celebration of people coming together, whether they are or are not of the same race, religion, or one of the multiple genders. It is a day of heart-throbbing sweet moments, and, for some, the only day your significant other pays attention to you.

If you are alone this Valentine’s Day, just remember, there are plenty of people just like you.
