After an intense hockey game between Johnston/North Providence Co-op and Pilgrim High School, the final score was 4-13 in favor of the opposing team. In spite of Pilgrim High being #1 in the RIIL standings for Division III Hockey, JNP played well regardless of the final score.

On the topic of their team’s potential, Brandon Tanguay and Amara Gibau shared some insightful thoughts. “I think we’re doing good, the effort is definitely there and our hearts are in the game. We just lack experience and I think that’s what kills us… Next year is our season. Our team will have more experience and I think we will do good,” says Captain Brandon Tanguay (#17), Junior. “We’re looking good actually, we just need to push harder. We have potential to win it all if we work for it. Yes we had a rough start but we’re gonna come back hungry for another ring,” Amara Gibau (#2), Junior, says confidently.

Returning for their senior year in the 2017-2018 hockey season, Brandon and Amara are both optimistic about what’s in store for the future of the team.
