North Providence High School’s Math Team and Math Club will be taking part in various activities in the 2016-2017 school year! Recently, senior Alexander Gianquitti was the top scorer for NPHS at the WPI Math Meet. There is also an upcoming math meet on Wednesday, October 26th from 3-5 PM at NPHS for the school’s Math Team. The team has 13 members and meets Tuesdays after school to work on released competition problems. See Mrs. Branco if you are interested!

In addition, this month the Math Club will be decorating pumpkins for Hasbro Children’s Hospital. A food drive is planned as well to take place for three weeks in November. Finally, in December the Math Club will be visiting Golden Crest Nursing Home to put up mathematical holiday decorations. More events will come in March and April when the Math Club will be celebrating Pi Day and Puzzle Day!
