RI Interscholastic Improv League State Finals

On Friday March 18th, 2016 at 7:00 pm, the final Improv performance and competition was held at the NPHS auditorium.  Improv is short for, “Improvisational comedy” a type of performance that involves acting out scenes without a script.  Five RI schools competed for the Jarrod Pimentel Memorial Championship Cup.  The Central Falls High School, North Providence High School, Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex, Paul Cuffee School, and South Kingstown High School Improv teams competed in the show.  Every team had the audience laughing and enjoying the show. In the end, the Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex team went home with the prize.

Unfortunately, for NPHS improvisers the Improv season has ended for the year.  Two of the oldest and greatest members of the group are graduating this year and will not be joining the group when it starts back up in the fall.  Congratulations to Joseph Lariviere and Rose O’ Gara for being amazing players in the NPHS Improv group for the past four years.  You will be missed!
