Poetry in the Pit is back! This year, as a senior project.

Ricky Volk, a senior at North Providence High School, is running Poetry in the Pit this year as his senior project with the help of Mr. Ryan, Mr. Ramos, and Ms. Marsland. According to Mr. Ryan, Ricky’s focus is on the impact literacy has on individuals. He is running a total of three Poetry in the Pit nights in order to create a forum where people can share their ideas.

The first was held on February 23rd as a test run with only a select few notified of it. The next two will be open to the entire student body and will take place on March 22nd and April 26th from 6-8pm in the Pit.  Anyone interested in participating can notify Ricky Volk, Mr. Ryan, Mr. Ramos, or Ms. Marsland.
