Nerd Culture is an amazing thing and the NPHS Nerd Herd was born of our society’s obsessions with superhero films, science fiction epics, television shows about zombies, and huge fantasy epics based on popular book series. Still, people have a strange understanding of what Nerd Herd is all about. This list will set the record straight.

I. More than half the club is female and every president has been a woman

II. Nerd culture is widespread and mainstream

III. We engage in serious conversation

IV. Some members are athletes

V. We have skilled and talented members who are part of other clubs including Newspaper, Drama, Band, Choir, Tech Club, GSA, Mock Trial, Cougar Pause, Class Officers, and NHS.

VI. We raise money for charities including Toys for Tots and Scholarship funds

VII. We have social skills and are not necessarily unpopular
