On Saturday, the 7th of November, between the hours of 4pm and 5pm at the Rhode Island Convention Center on the 5th floor in room 552A, the North Providence High School Nerd Herd held a panel at this year’s Rhode Island Comic-Con. The people at the panel were Caralyn Damas, Evan Gallashaw, Nick Votta, Juliana Pineda, and Christina Louth, who was the moderator of the panel. Each volunteer shared a love for their inner nerd and wanted to help and tell others of their experience. The panel was similar to a Q&A where they answered questions like “How did NH start?”, “What affect did NH have on the high school?”, and “How can they start NH at their own school?” The panel was said to be a success, where many people seemed interested to start a NH at their own school. Nerd Herd is a community where members can express themselves without the worry of being judged.
