The Lady Cougars have prepared for this all year, it is now playoff time. They’re back after last years dream season and ready to play for another state championship.  The Cougars got the 4th seed in the Division III playoffs and were granted a first round bye. Rogers, who was given the 5th seed, beat 12th seed Hope 5-1 and were faced off against the Cougars. Early in the game, Rogers jumped on the Cougars to gain a 1-0 lead, but it was all North Providence from there on out. The Cougars scored 4 unanswered goals scored by Amanda Nye, Aria Amico, and 2 by Jessica Rizzo. Goalkeeper Sainey Joof was accredited with 7 saves during the game. The Lady Cougars now will face off against number 1 seed West Warwick, who beat Central Falls 6-1 in their first playoff match,  in a rematch of last years championship game. The Cougars are 0-1-1 this year against the Wizards this year after playing them twice with the first game ending 1-1, and the second game seeing the Wizards score 6 goals against the Cougars and shutting them out, 6-0. The game is Tuesday November 3rd and will be played at East Greenwich High School
