North Providence High School’s Director of Pathways, Mrs. Caffrey has been selected for the 2025-26 PLTW Outstanding Administrator Recognition! This is an amazing achievement, as she was one of only 9 administrators across the United States to receive this honor. Project Lead the Way describes this award as recognition for administrators who “inspire, engage, and empower their students by creating transformative learning experiences in their schools through PLTW programs.” In addition to this, the recognition represents Mrs. Caffrey’s dedication and leadership in developing and improving North Providence High School’s educational programs.
In an interview with Mrs. Caffrey, she expressed her gratefulness for the award stating that, “I am very honored to receive such recognition,” as she feels that the recognition she received aligns with her philosophies as an educator: “meaningful engagement and student centered learning.” Caffrey believes that her award should be shared among NPHS students, teachers, and faculty alike because “without them this would not be possible.” She explains that, “we’re a team at the high school, with strong communities that foster belonging for students and teachers.” This award is well deserved, and according to Mrs. Caffrey, it is thanks to the bright school environment.
PLTW is expressed at NPHS through the biomedical and pre-engeneering programs that Mrs. Caffrey has introduced to the school. Caffrey says that these pathways are beneficial to all students involved, noting that “they allow students to apply their knowledge to real-world situations.” These pathways have truly been a great addition to NPHS and continue to empower students.
Another big congratulations to Mrs. Caffrey for this remarkable achievement. On behalf of all students and faculty at NPHS, we are very proud of everything Mrs. Caffrey has done for our school and the amazing things she continues to accomplish.
