Seniors Riddhi Mistry and Alexis Vieira were interviewed about their experiences, giving insight as to why they were nominated.
Senior Riddhi Mistry, honored with the “Most Athletic” superlative, has participated in a variety of sports throughout her youth, making her the perfect candidate for this award. She explains that along with 10 years of experience playing softball, she has also competed in basketball and soccer starting from a young age, which she has continued throughout her successful high school career. Riddhi has also briefly played volleyball and recently joined the school’s flag football team in the spring, where she helped lead them to victory in their first tournament.
Alexis Vieira, voted “Most Changed Since Freshman Year,” reports on both the physical and emotional change she has encountered over her high school years. She states that as a freshman, she wanted everyone to like her, as she wore makeup with colorful eyeliner and sported long hair. Since then, she has grown emotionally through her personal experiences, feeling stronger and more confident than ever. Currently, she rocks a short hairstyle and has stopped wearing so much makeup, not worrying about what others think, making her the most changed since ninth grade.

Your favorite teacher duo, Mr. Centracchio and Mr. Garganese, were asked about what made them the winners of their respective superlatives. Here’s what they had to say:
Winner of the superlative, “Faculty Comedian,” Mr. Centracchio loves to have fun in the classroom. He enjoys cracking jokes and telling stories to amuse both himself and his students. Centracchio prefers a happy mood, providing the perfect amount of comedy relief for when students feel stressed.
Mr. Garganese, winner of “Coziest Classroom,” believes that the classroom environment relies on more than just decor. While Room 315 is filled with memorabilia—photos, posters, and festive decorations—Mr. Garganese explains that this is because this decor complements his teaching style; it helps provide a comforting atmosphere, provoking stimulation and interest in students. Unfortunately, just before receiving this honor, a flood swept through his room, damaging some of the photos and decorations, which soon had to be discarded. Although it was disappointing to discover that some of the artifacts of room 315 have been ruined, it allows for the opportunity to create new memories to continue filling the walls with.
Congratulations to both our senior and staff superlative winners! There was some intense competition and anticipation this year, but the winners are well-deserved. Thank you to those who took the time to vote.
