As of December 1st, holiday activities are in full swing! People are getting ready for the upcoming season by putting up decorations and making gingerbread houses, antsy to get celebrating, and lucky for them, this weekend there’s the perfect event to get in the holiday spirit!
This Sunday, December 8th, at Governor Notte Park, there is a tree lighting ceremony, filled with festivities such as seeing Santa, the lighting of the tree, and listening to North Providence’s very own band play some holiday music!
The event starts at 4 p.m. with the band playing from 4-4:30. Festivities are lasting until 6 p.m. that night, ending with Santa taking pictures with the kids after he comes in his fire truck at 5:15. So be sure to come with a jacket, hat, and your holiday spirit, because you do not want to miss the tree lighting ceremony!
