In an exciting soccer match on October 9, hosted at the ROC, the Cougar boys soccer team showcased their skill and determination against Davies Technical High school. They came out on top with a final tally of 2-0.
The game started right off with an impressive goal from the Cougars and right after, a goal to the stands! With the score turning to 1-0, the opposing forces defense must have fired up to do better because they put up a fierce defense throughout the rest of the game. After multiple missed shots from Davies, trying to level the score, and North Providence, trying to get ahead, the Cougars were able to acquire a corner kick in the second half. It was then that the Cougars pulled through with a 2nd shot.
There was a minor stop towards the end of the game due to one of the Davies starting players incurring an injury. But that wasn’t enough to completely deter Davies because their defense kept the Cougars from scoring again.
