That’s right! We are thrilled to announce that this year, NPHS Drama will be presenting a musical production of A Christmas Carol! With rehearsals beginning in the brand-new auditorium, our talented cast and crew members are working to bring this holiday classic to life!
Kicking Off Rehearsals
We’ve officially kicked off rehearsals for A Christmas Carol: The Musical. Every Monday and Friday, our cast and crew are putting their time and effort into each meeting. By making an incredible dance choreography and putting together a magical soundtrack, this musical will be unforgettable!
The New Auditorium
Due to the big renovation of the NPHS auditorium, the last year’s drama shows had to take place at a different location. 
However, with the renovations being finished, we have the honors of being the first ones to perform in the new auditorium! We’re excited to bring our performances to life in this amazing new space.
The Jimmy Awards
The National High School Musical Theatre Awards® (the Jimmy Awards®) are a national celebration of outstanding student achievement, recognizing individual artistry in vocal, dance, and acting performance and elevating the importance of theatre arts education in schools. – Jimmy Awards
“Our program has entered the Ocean State Star Awards which is a program for area high schools to be judged or adjudicated by a committee at PPAC. we will be apart of their rewards ceremony and their show and then two high school students are chosen from the state to represent Rhode island at the Jimmy awards which are in New York city.” – Mrs. Thomas
Why You Should Come See The Show
A Christmas Carol is a staple of the holiday season. Every performance is different, so even if you have seen it before, you will always find something new to enjoy! “It’s all of our communities coming together. There are students from here, younger siblings from other schools, there are teachers in the show. Our band and chorus programs are highlighted as well. So, I really feel as it’s a community coming together to celebrate our new space and our new season.”
