The Class of 2024 entered North Providence High School as we returned from the COVID lockdown. It was the new normal they said. I had just finished up with the Class of 2020 COVID graduation and here came my new little freshies all masked up but ready for their high school experience. Though you could only see half of their faces, or perhaps dots on a screen, they still established themselves in the NPHS community.
Everyone said there would be learning loss and social delay but this group came in determined to make up for what they had lost. I had a big change in class officers from year to year but each group had great ideas for fundraisers and activities to set their class up for a monumental senior year, starting off with Senior Sunrise, Homecoming and Spirit Week, Winter Ball at the Rhodes, Spring Spirit Week, Senior Projects, Prom, Trip, Senior Night and Senior Sunset.
Each event has been more phenomenal than the next and your behavior at all these events has been outstanding. Class of 2024 you were one of the best and I am so glad I got to know so many more of you this year! Congratulations. Go do great things, I expect nothing but the best from you!
