The North Providence High School Band, under the direction of Music Teacher Steve Morrison earned a rating of “Superior” at the RI Band Festival held on Thursday, April 11.
Mr. Morrison, clearly proud of his musicians, said “Both their performance and behavior highlighted what a wonderful group of students we have in our NPH band! The festival is ratings only and not competitive with other schools, we compete against ourselves based on a very particular/specific rubric.”
He added that the band scored a 35/40.
Morrison also wanted to thank the school and town community for their continued support of the school’s hard working music students!
The next concert will be held on May 15 at 6 p.m. at the High School.
