Celebrating Our Cadets! – A Look into our First JROTC Cohort

Naeelah Desanges, Editor-in-Chief

As many pathways make their debut here at NPHS, the students are presented with many great opportunities to learn new skills and hone their talents. This year we welcomed the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program to the family of pathways offered.

The JROTC aims to educate students about the many duties and privileges that come with being a citizen of the United States while preparing them for leadership roles.

The NPHS JROTC held its first meet and greet for the new cadets and their guardians, to answer any questions about the program and unite the cadet classes. The Cadet Corps student leaders were recognized in a formal rank, and leadership position presentation along with the Q and A. Sargent Lobo explained the importance of the presentation as the leaders will be a crucial part of the program’s future.

The leaders are as follows:

Cadet Corp Commander-1st Lieutenant Taj Wehbe

Vice Commander -2nd Lieutenant Aiden Bond

Operations Commander- 2nd Lieutenant Angel Garcia Diaz

Congratulations to these future Community Leaders!
