Black Friday is right around the corner and like most things this year, it is going to look a little different. Here are three ways Black Friday 2020 will be different:

1. Increased online shopping:

This year, the fear of Covid-19 and the increased anxiety among people has led many to start shopping online. While some believe that this takes away from the joy of hustling into stores on the chilly night, others believe that online shopping has its advantages. It allows customers to browse through products and compare prices, all in the safety of their homes.

2. Longer lasting deals:

As most stores are focusing on their online sales this year, the deals started from as early as the first week of november. It is predicted that the deals will continue long after Black Friday itself. Hence, the thin line between Black Friday and Cyber Monday has been further blended. This will give shoppers more time to get their holiday shopping done.

3. Increased in-store restrictions:

For the brave ones that are going to shop in-person on Friday, heavy precautionary measures are to be expected. Facial coverings are mandatory and hand sanitizers are stationed everywhere. Only a limited number of people will be allowed into stores and social distancing protocols will be enforced. This is going to be unlike any Black Friday we’ve had in the past.

While 2020 has changed the way we celebrate every holiday, it is definitely going to be a time we’ll remember forever. Have a happy and safe Black Friday!
