Help Fight Covid-19 Today
The state needs your help!
April 30, 2020
While most of us are safe at home, there are many people working in the frontline, against Covid-19. The doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, and food services are risking their lives for the safety of others. Still, we can help without braving such endeavors. Many organizations are looking for donations of money and goods. The Rhode Island University is accepting donations like hygiene products, disinfectant wipes, disposable plates and cutlery, cleaning supplies, laundry detergents, tissues, and toilet paper. They are also accepting food products. For more information about where these items can be dropped off, check the URI website, in the Rhody Outpost donate tab. The Rhode Island Department of Health is also accepting supply donations and volunteers. They urgently require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like face masks, gloves, and gowns (if you randomly happen to have any at home). If you do not have supplies, you can donate funds for this crisis. The RI Foundation is accepting such funds and they are being used to support non-profit organizations that are directly providing financial assistance to Rhode Islanders in need. Let’s all work together in fighting this battle against Covid-19.
