Top 10 Video-games I Have Played
October 20, 2015
To start off I want to make it clear that this is my opinion and these are games that I have played and any games I plan to play will not be on this list.
10. Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance
This was one of the first games I had ever played. Basically this game was an role-playing game based around Marvel Super Heroes. The plot was that Dr. Doom assembled a group of super villains to take over the world and it is the player’s job to pick a group of Marvel super heroes to stop him. Most people did not play it and it was a good game of the PlayStation2 era.
9. Hyrule Warriors
I spent hundreds of hours playing this game and enjoyed every minute of it. This game is a hack and slash title made by the same company who made Dynasty Warriors, however this entry is based around the world of the Legend of Zelda. The plot is absolutely ridiculous and cannot be explained without any spoilers.
8.Pokemon Platinum
This is the game that introduced me to Pokemon and was the first one I ever finished. The only reason this game is on the list is pure nostalgia and the fact it reintroduced the day/night cycle to Pokemon.
7. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
This game let you play as the main hero of the Legend of Zelda series, Link, in wolf form. It also had an the best guide character in a Legend of Zelda game, Midna, and she did not say “Hey Listen!”
6.The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Anyone who has ever seen a top 10 list of video games would know that this game would be on here. It was the first three dimensional Legend of Zelda game and invented Z-targeting.
5. Batman Arkham City
This was one of the few games that accurately depict the caped crusader. People who played this game and the previous one have trouble determining which one is better. For me the answer was easy, Arkham City because I never played Arkham Asylum.
4.The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
This is a two-dimensional Legend of Zelda game meaning that it prioritizes exploration over plot. This leads to an unique adventure for each player.
3.Metal Gear Solid
This is the purest stealth game most people will ever see. The Psycho Mantis boss fight was one of the best example of a break in the fourth wall by reading the players memory card. This game also created one of the best death screens of all time which has been parodied countless times. Snake, Snake, Snaaaaaake!
2.Doom
This game introduced the idea that the shotgun was the best weapon ever in an FPS. Without Doom paving the way most first person shooters would not exist. The game is also extremely satisfying with every level cleared.
1. Kingdom Hearts
This was an role-playing game developed by Squaresoft and Disney. It was a masterful combination of Final Fantasy and Disney licenses with solid game-play and a compelling story.
