This years Prom Fashion Show was made possible by senior Victoria Teto as part of her Senior Project. With the help of senior Ariana Dickie, the senior class was also able to sponsor the event.
Students volunteered their time to be models for the show.
All the students met at designated times and places for fittings at either David’s Bridal, Sonya’s, or at Carl Anthony Tuxedo.
This event took place on February 12th, 2015 at 6:00pm in the North Providence High School Cafeteria.
Our NPHS all Girls A Cappella Group “The Treble Makers” sang Stay With Me by Sam Smith and Girls Just Want To Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper during the show’s intermission.
There were numerous baskets raffled off to lucky ticket winners throughout the night.
Members of Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy came early to help the models with their hair before the show while also making sure all the dresses were properly taken care of and never damaged.
Miss Rhode Island also paid a visit! She wished all the models good luck and to have fun, sat with the audience to watch the show herself, and was more than happy to take pictures with many excited models, students, and families.
Admission was $3 per person and all the proceeds went right to the Senior class.
There was also a great amount of snacks and refreshments sold throughout the night.
The Senior class says, “A huge thank you to everyone who had a part in this fashion show! Thank you to those who attended, modeled, helped with setup/raffles/admission/emcees/clean-up, all of the businesses and people who donated to our raffle, and of course, to the retailers who allowed us to fashion their dresses/tuxes. We hope you all had a great night!”
