The Boy’s JV Soccer Team was visited by soccer powerhouse Lincoln on Tuesday, October 22. Lincoln started the game with possession of the ball. North Providence fought hard with strong defense and offense, but eventually let in a goal. A player on Lincoln’s team got a yellow card and North Providence got a free kick, which they missed. Lincoln scored a goal before the end of the first half, bringing the score to 1-0. North Providence let in another goal in the second half before scoring a goal. While the defense and goalie were strong and made good saves, the Lincoln team matched their talents. Lincoln scored two more goals, making the final score of the game a 4-1 loss for the NPHS Junior Varsity Team.
