The first home game for the NPHS football team against the Shea Raiders had everyone on the edge of their seats with the extremely close score on Saturday October 19th. In the first quarter, the Cougars took the lead with a score of 6 leaving Shea in the dust with a score of 0. This is all thanks to a touchdown run from #20, Bevin Ingram III. The Cougars attacked Shea’s offense and were only down 7 to 6 at halftime. At the start of the 3rd quarter, North Providence came back with yet another touchdown by Ingram. The two point conversion was successful, raising the score to 14-7. Shea’s offense retaliated with a touchdown which brought the two teams neck and neck, both with 14 points. The Cougars offense were unable to get back in sync with the opposing team. By the end of the 4th quarter, Shea had won the game 17-14 due to one field goal. All in all, it was a very close and well played game by both teams.
