Lately, fans of Suzanne Collins award-winning novel, The Hunger Games, have all been talking about the sequel hitting the big screen. The second book of the trilogy, called Catching Fire, has left everyone in anticipation and excitement for the third movie, based on the final book. Catching Fire premiered at most movie theaters on November 22nd, 2013. Any fans who have yet to view the film are dying for the DVD to be released.
The plot of Catching Fire forces enthusiasts to go through the clever adventure of Katniss Everdeen, a sixteen-year-old girl residing in a futuristic version of the United States. In this dystopian setting, a dictator forces children to fight to the death in an arena for public enjoyment. After her triumphant victory in the first novel, Katniss was recovering for a large portion of the second book. However, her plans of living out a normal life dwindled as she was caught in another sticky situation. Fans followed Katniss’s fight for survival through the three books, while others preferred to watch the available movies. However, everyone who has found interest in the trilogy can agree that the setting, characters, and story itself are all addicting. While some people stray away from The Hunger Games, most are enthralled and appreciate it as one of the best stories of the genre. Catching Fire has left its supporters devoted and wanting more.
